Hi my name is Don Perkins and I am a regular customer of Clarke and Rush, we had our split system we have install in 1997 and always have our regular service appointments. And Robert Castle was just here this morning and I always request him, he is just a great guy, wonderful personality, knows the equipment, knows the business, and it’s a pleasure to complement the work that he does, I look forward to seeing him again in the fall. And probably plan on sometime this winter, probably getting an estimate for a replacement system. This system is working fine, but you know this system is getting up in years, kinda like me so anyway, love you guys, Robert is a great guy, so pass on my best to him.

I am a prepaid customer for maintenance - prepaying for a two services in a year. Since Clarke and Rush benefit by the use of that money, it would seem that the least that would happen is that customers such as me would be contacted to schedule the maintenance. I was just told when I called that due to the economy the marketing department was eliminated. Being a skeptic, I'll bet if someone wanted to buy a system that the marketing dept. still exists.

Had service done on two units in our house that were installed two years ago. They identified several problems that the previous technician (after the first year) did not identify. Clarke & Rush made it good by fixing all the issues and performing the maintenance and did not charge me as the previous technician should have caught the issue on the new units. Many thanks to Ray Musolf, who was prompt and thorough and very professional. He made sure we were satisfied. The scheduling was extremely prompt. They ordered parts immediately and came back the next morning on one instance. Thanks for taking care of the issues!!

Service tech Eric Rust conducted a spring maintenance service on my ac unit today, very professional and fast service. I have been a Clarke & Rush client for many years and would recommend them for all HVAC work.
Hi this is George Carey, I recently had some duct work done at my house. They came in and replaced some of the ducts and also cleaned and sealed the ducts. I'd just like to say how much I appreciate the personnel that came to my home. I had Robert, David and Isaiah, they are people you'd invite into your home anytime, they are very good workers. I just received this $50 reimbursement from you. I would like to say thank you very much. But, I also want to give comments to the guys that did our windows and air conditioning. They were very professional and they had to put up with our little dogs, they are really good guys, they were in here in our apartment by themselves at certain times of the day. And I just want to say I felt really comfortable to know they were here by themselves and nobody was in the home with them. At one point I did return and they were doing their business and just getting along and getting it done. So, giving kiddos to the guys...Thank you very much!

I just had a home-service visit from Jerry R. and we were pleased by his quick and informative resolution of our problem with the Furnace running too often... within a half hour the problem was explained and resolved, and we learned many of the features and potential problems. Jerry has been here in the past, and I just want to commend him for his courtesy and professionalism.

Eric Rust was the tech that came out and performed the service. I just wanted to comment that he was great.He has been here before. He always calls ahead, he's on time, just like he says he will be, he comes when he says he will. Anyway, he is just a pleasant gentleman to deal with, and a great representative for your company. I would like to thank Clarke and Rush for coming out quickly this a.m. to replace a broken ignitor switch on our heater. The service was excellent and quick! The repairman was very kind and courteous and very careful of our home while working and coming in and out a few times.
Clarke and Rush replaced all our duct work several years ago also. The work was done within the quote and also on time!! (which is a rarity today)

I read a wonderful story about a wonderful company who has a VERY high level of integerty and a belief system. I live in Pennsylvania and its nice to know that honest companies are still out there. I had the service technician out to my home by the name of Eric Rust. When he came to my home he serviced both of my heat pump HVAC systems. While servicing these systems he pointed out a few problems and fixed these issues fairly quickly. I really appreciate his services as well as his patience in taking the time to make sure I understood the benefits of making these repairs prior to proceeding.

Hi, Scott - I just wanted you to know how pleased Paul and I are with our Carrier Greenspeed unit plus the air filter we bought. We could not be happier! I am not really wanting to rush "winter," but I can't wait to see how the heating unit works!!
My refrigerator (which is new - 2 years old) makes more noise running than the outside unit. I cannot tell if the a/c is running unless I am standing right in front of a vent and it is blowing on me...unless, of course, I am in our upstairs bathroom - then I can hear it running because the unit is right over the bathroom.
Paul has the unit set on 79 during the day when we are gone, has it come on to 78 an hour or two before we come home, and then drops it to 77 to run at night. It's amazing when it comes on at night and I have just gotten into bed and it comes on, it runs for 2 minutes and 45 seconds and then turns off!! It does not drone on and on for 20 or 30 minutes. With all of the hot days from June 12 to July 12 our bill was $80 which was $10 more than the month before! ...and we have figured out that most of the electricity expense comes from running our electric dryer!! as a couple of months ago, we replaced our 22 year old electric water heater with the GE hybrid heat pump water heater.
And then, the air filter is amazing too; my husband was obviously allergic to something in the house that bothered his nose...and now he no longer has the problem and I am attributing it to the fact that the air filter is running and we are keeping the house closed up.
Anyway, I just wanted to let you know how pleased we are - we made the right decision - and we know we got a 1st class installation job from Clarke and Rush!

I received a call from C&R regarding pmt. Apparently,C&R doesn't take the Am Exp I gave the service Tech. The lady that called wanted adifferent credit card number. I then had a rather unpleasantconversation with the rep informing me what the Tech did when I know hedidn't. Then she transferred me to one of the owners. I explainedmy position and suggested I only owed part of the service because the techrefused a diagnostic. The owner said he was canceling thebill. I am not sure the total bill should have been cancelled, but thewhole thing was unpleasant for both of us. Apparently,the repshould have only charged my about $200 or less and done a diagnostic. Thatis what I offered the tech and he said no... This should haveincluded the part being installed. The tech is new and normally coverscommercial not residential. In the end things were worked out and my airconditioner is working fine. I did replace the thermostat as well.
Clark & Rush (C&R) August 11, 2012.
I called C&R for service and was told they can do a diagnostic in 2-4 hrs, cost $89.00, okay. I adv C&R that I believed the problem was the capacitor, but something strange is going on with the thermostat and air flow/blower. I also asked how much would it cost to replace a condenser? I was told the cost of the repair will likely be extra and determined after a diagnostic, okay. The tech came out 5 hrs later, not a problem just hopeful to get the air conditioner fixed (it was hot). The tech was very polite and looked at the exposed capacitor and agreed it was likely the problem. The tech said he would install a new capacitor and see if that fixes the problem (condenser motor/fan not running). The condenser fan came on and the tech said it looks like problem solved. Yes, it looked like the problem was solved with in just a few mins, great! The tech said he had to call for a price. The tech adv it would cost a total of $320 and no further diagnostic could be done unless I paid for the capacitor and installation. The capacitor was already installed, took a min, two at the most.
I have a few issues, ONE was the price of $320 for less than a 5 min total time service call on a $5-30 part? TWO, the refusal of the tech to diagnose the system without me paying $320. The tech said he would not do any diagnostic without the capacitor replaced and paid for. The tech knew the airflow was questionable and one of the two thermostats were not working but wouldn't look at them. I truly believe the tech wanted to just install the capacitor and leave, there was no diagnostic done other that go to the part I suggested needed to be replaced and replace it. I told the tech this didn't seem reasonable to me, not only is the cost high but the fact you are not doing the diagnostic you promised. I offered the tech another $100 for a total of $189 plus tax. He said he couldn't do it for that and left, with his compressor, and the $89 diagnostic fee. I called another company and they installed the condenser for $75. I also replaced the thermostat because it was acting funny, $25. Too early to tell but the AC seems to be cooling although the air flow still seems low. The reason I went to C&R is because of the reviews on their web site, well this is not a good review...
So in the end I saved money going with someone else but I didn't get the diagnostic as promised/paid for. Not a pleasant experience.
